OLIUM 708 has long been associated with the efficient operation of oil fired plant of all types. This British Company operates Worldwide with wholly owned manufacturing facilities, associates and agencies in all major areas. This close involvement with oil fuel has enabled it to develop cost effective products specifically designed to improve efficiency, offer fuel savings and give freedom from oil fuel related problems. OLIUM 708 POWER-UP. Has a unique and patented formulation with the ability to hold the water content of oil fuel in emulsion. It is no longer wastefully drained from storage tanks but is usefully employed to improve fuel atomization. An oil/water emulsion presented at the burner offers the flame pattern of oil droplets containing finely dispersed water which vaporizes before the oil. This sudden increase in volume gives each droplet an internal pressure which it breaks it into a series of smaller droplets producing secondary atomization and enabling the oil fuel to combine more easily and quickly with the surrounding air. More complete combustion takes place and a substantial reduction in both quantity and size of unburnt particles. The principle is well established and mechanical devices exist to add water artificially. Recognizing that oil fuel will contain naturally up to 1% water, the formulation is designed to make use of this and achieve the results described without the need for mechanical assistance or undesirable addition of further water. Eliminates sludge conditions in oil storage tanks, associated pipework, filters. heaters etc. and maintains them in a clean condition. At all times the maximum storage capacity is available with usable fuel representing total tank capacity in absence of sludge which frequently occupies the lower areas. Controls SO3 production with consequent reduction of acid corrosion and acid smut emissions. Acid dew point is lowered with the advantage of control of acid attack in the low temperature areas of ductwork, economizers, etc. |

OLIUM 708 POWER-UP. The treatment is applicable to all grades of fuel oil. In general, the heavier grades require a greater concentration of treatment and specific recommendations are made for individual plants. The following table is, however, a useful guide to ratio: Residual fuels (1000/3500 secs.) 1 – 4000 (.25% addition) Distillate and light blends (35/250 secs.) 1 – 9000 (.011% addition) Where fuel sludge is known to exist is recommended that treatment be added in ratio 1 – 1000 (.1%) until the condition is eliminated, after which the recommended maintenance ratio should be used. OLIUM 708 POWER-UP. Is particularly easy to use. It is formulated to be completely self mixing with oil fuel and is added to storage tanks at the time of fuel delivery or at a convenient later time. We can supply, on free loan, suitable equipment and can supply automatic systems where required to facilitate treatment addition. |
